2008 in photographs

December 17, 2008

Check it out here.

If you’re wondering what’s going on in the above photo here’s the blurb…

“Department of Water and Power workers are emptying out bales of plastic balls in the Ivanhoe reservoir in Los Angeles on Monday, June 9, 2008. Department of Water and Power released about 400,000 black plastic 4-inch balls as the first installment of approximately 3 million to form a floating cover over 7 acres of the reservoir to protect the water from sunlight. When sunlight mixes with the bromide and chlorine in Ivanhoe’s water, the carcinogen bromate can form.”

…and that is what you call lateral thinking.

GREAT Britain!

Another 4 golds!! Amazing stuff. 3rd in the medal table now.

C’mon Paula!

August 17, 2008

Lets hope she can add to the collection of medals. Some useless knowledge for you, Michael Phelps haul of medals thus far would of meant he would of come 8th overall in the medal table of the last olympics.

Lightenin’ Bolt!

He lifted his head before the finish. He is 21. He is still a raw talent. YET he still manages to smash the 100 metres world record with a stomping time of 9.69 seconds! Incredible stuff, can’t wait to see what he’ll be like in London 2012. Watch the race here.

The Masters 2008 – Ian Poulter & West Bromwich Albion

April 12, 2008

aa

Would really love to see Poulter win the Masters this weekend or at least get a top three finish. Its a shame Immelman is playing so well. In football news i’m going to the hawthorns this afternoon home of the mighty West Bromwich Albion to atone my almost unforgivable sin of visiting arch rivals Wolves two weeks ago. I can hear the chants of Judas already….
